Make Routine, Routine
What does your morning routine look like? Hit alarm clock, use restroom, make coffee, out the door?
Consider making a schedule (or using a free one from RealRecess.com) to get the most from your day. Try writing it down or printing it out. By visually looking at a schedule, it feels more manageable.
Everyone's personality and needs are different. I recommend starting with one simple change. Do that for a few days. Then add another one until you have a complete morning routine scheduled. Tomorrow, take 60 seconds right when you wake while you're still laying in bed to visualize. This means actually see yourself being productive with a task today. Maybe it is reviewing key points for a conference call, or going through steps to make someone else's day meaningful, possibly just outlining your workout for the day will fulfill your plans.
It may take a little time to become a habit. Starting your day by checking off an accomplishment sets your attitude in the right direction. These habits will be life changing! Here is my average morning schedule (variety is the spice of life so it changes as needed).
- Soothing music plays on my alarm
- Roll side to side about 3 times each
- Visualize completing 1 big goal for the day
- Get out of bed and perform 60 seconds of a Tai Chi Kata
- Bathroom routine
- Get dressed
- Protein smoothie with Power Greens and Apple Cider Vinegar
- Out the door within 45 minutes
Please ask me how I can help you create your schedule. Don't be afraid to share your results with friends! Your insight could be just what someone else needs in their life right now.
